Drydocks World successfully completes joint emergency drill with local authorities

Drydocks World the service provider to the marine, offshore, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors successfully completed a joint emergency drill with UAE local Authorities in the Drydocks World yard.

 

All emergency response teams collaborated efficiently together, putting procedures into action for effective incident management. The drill scenario was a major fire with numerous casualties in wet berth 1 onboard vessel LNG Portovyy. The local authorities who participated in the emergency drill include Ministry of Interior Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Police, Dubai Ambulance Corporation, DEWA, RTA, Dubai Municipality, Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Health Authority, and the Federal National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority from Abu Dhabi.

 

“Testing emergency services plays a vital role in ensuring we are able to respond effectively within critical timescales to incidents, and ensures our staff are trained properly for deployment of emergency services in line with the authorities,” said Capt.
