Drydocks World, the service provider to the marine, offshore, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors attended the Seatrade Maritime Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa awards ceremony at Madinat Jumeirah on September 22nd 2019. During the event, Capt. Rado Antolovic PhD CEO of Drydocks World was named Personality of the Year for his contributions to the maritime industry.
The Seatrade Maritime Awards honour individuals, organisations and companies from across the shipping industry and are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai UAE, as part of UAE Maritime Week.
Capt. Rado Antolovic PhD integrated Drydocks World into the DP World Maritime Services Division, transforming one of the world’s largest marine repair, conversion and fabrication facilities in less than 2 years. He developed a new strategy that enhanced processes and created significant improvements in productivity.
Under his direction, the company has become a leading player in the provision of services to support the IMO's regulatory agenda. The yard has completed innovative compliance solutions including: ballast water management and SOx Scrubber system installation, as well as renewable energy High Voltage Direct Current Platform Borwin Gamma. His achievements have contributed greatly to the development of Dubai as an integrated and sophisticated marine services centre.
