A specialized Afloat Repair Division (ARD) handles fast and reliable afloat repair services to numerous clients around the world. It has its own dedicated workforce consisting of service engineers, supervisors and experienced technicians and a purpose-built workshop to handle marine repairs and specialized work. It is a member of Metalock International Association Ltd and an authorized MAN B&W workshop.
The hydraulic section of ARD helps with repair, upgrading and modification of hydraulic systems aboard vessels onshore, afloat and during voyages. In addition, the section also caters to the requirements of clients from the region’s industry. Typical assignments include repair of all types of marine winches, cranes, steering gear systems and cargo/ballast valve systems. The section is adequately equipped for pressure testing and flushing of hydraulic systems.
The section’s services are called upon to install hydraulic piping and flushing of various hydraulic systems on FPSO and FSO conversions and new building projects at the yard.
ARD is equipped to handle specialized work such as:
- Main and Auxiliary engines (authorized MAN B&W workshop)
- Turbines: Main and cargo pump
- Hydraulic: Testing, repair & service
- Steel, pipe and electric motor repairs & rewinding
- Riding squad for repairs and tank cleaning
- Tailshaft & Propeller, shaft seals
