Drydocks World – Dubai recognises the need to provide healthy and safe working conditions for all persons affected by the business. The organisation’s safety management system is accredited to the BS OHSAS 18001 by Lloyds Register and has 5 Star Status from the British Safety Council. In addition to this external accreditation, the yard has also received the coveted BSC Sword of Honour for five successive years, an accolade that is only awarded to 40 companies worldwide. 

The Health & Safety department, which comprises of fully trained and competent personnel including, Security Guards, Gas and Safety Inspectors and trained Fire personnel and Emergency Response Team totaling in excess of 250 personnel.

All personnel responsible for conducting risk assessments are fully trained in the DW-D Risk Control process, and undertake all generic and specific assessments so all activities are safely and efficiently controlled throughout the site.
