Capt. Rado Antolovic PhD is the CEO of Drydocks World in Dubai. Through his leadership, Drydocks World has become a leading provider of global marine and offshore services to the shipping, oil, gas, and energy sectors.

Capt. Rado Antolovic PhD has over three decades of extensive experience in leading maritime projects and port management. Throughout his career, he has focused on strategic and operational excellence to drive innovation and large-scale transformation across international ports in Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Gulf Region.

Captain Rado joined DP World in 2005 as the CEO of ACT Hong King, where he was responsible for the development of a new facility and diversifying the business. In 2013, Rado was appointed as the managing director of P&O Maritime, where he successfully turned around the company by securing numerous long-term contracts and substantially improving the reliability of vessel operations and engineering, exceeding even the best global practices.

This strong track record set the stage for his next appointment as the Managing Director of DP World Maritime Services in 2017. During his time at Maritime Services, he oversaw the integration of five new business units: P&O Maritime, P&O Marinas, Drydocks World Dubai, Dubai Maritime City, and P&O Ports, and consolidated the businesses for better integration.

Prior to joining the DP World family, he held senior positions with APL and MOL, where he successfully set up, restructured, and managed their transformation to accelerate growth.

Unlike many in the industry, Captain Rado’s exposure to the shipping and marine industry began at an early age, as his father was a Vice Admiral for the Yugoslav Navy. In addition to his professional accomplishments, and passion for the marine industry, Rado is an accomplished sportsman, having successfully represented the Yugoslavia Olympic reserve team at the 1980 Olympic Games 

Captain Rado’s education qualifications include Captain A1 licenses, a degree from the University of Marine Transport, an MBA , and a PhD in marine transport and economics.
